Yesterday,

after sending out 1000 direct messages (DMs),

I received a mix of responses: some "No"s, but also a few positive ones.

Long story short—I landed the client! 🎉

The client is a mortgage broker who needed a website.

He was eager to learn all about the process.

After a phone call,

he wanted a website with a trendy design.

Initially,

I quoted him $1200, but after some negotiation,

we settled on $897.

The deal was risky—I had to deliver the website in 24 hours,

or he'd only pay half.

Despite the risk,

I started working on it.

I showed him the initial designs

and he liked them.

Finally, I completed the website and presented it to him.

But the big question remained:

would he pay?

In this risky deal,

where I hadn't received any money upfront,

I still went ahead and built the website.
